Professional Career Placement
MAPSS places more graduates in research, both for-profit and not-for-profit, than any other field. In the Class of 2018, 85% of our graduates accepted full-time employment or planned to pursue doctoral education within six months of graduation, while 97% of our graduates had accepted either full-time or part-time employment or were in pursuit of the PhD (2018 MAPSS Placement Survey).

A Wide Range of Careers
One of the greatest benefits to interdisciplinary study is the ability to customize learning and possible career trajectories based on the interests of the individual. For that very reason, there is great diversity in the types of positions, organizations, and industries where MAPSS graduates have accepted offers.
