Social scientists at the University of Chicago are recognized for multi-disciplinary and multi-method approaches to research and teaching. Our work encourages agile and comprehensive ways of understanding the world around us. As the nature of data continues to change and expand, those who are prepared to work at methodological intersections, whether as an academic or in policy, industry, non-profits, and other organizations, are essential. MAPSS students can also pursue specific disciplinary concentrations and additional graduate certificates.
